I am just trying to figure things out as I go, my only child is heading to College in Boston in a month or so, leaving me home with her cat, Casper. I changed jobs after 10 years, my Dad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and some days doesn’t know who I am….my uncle, who is like a second Dad, he is my mom's twin and Dads best friend, has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, my mom is losing both of her best friends and struggling to be present for them, my siblings all have moved far from home- Virginia and Florida respectively, I have somehow become the go to person on both sides of my family since my Nan and Gram passed and oh yeah and I’m going to turn 50 in a few months! So, with all that going on I decided it was time to go back to things I enjoy, and blogging is one of them! So please come along for what I am sure will be an adventure- ups and downs as I navigate what this chapter of my life will be.

  Landslide Fleetwood Mac   Well let’s just dive in!   Yesterday, my daughter signed her student loans- they are stupid - like the debt these kids have to go into to get an education is insanity! My poor baby turned 18 and the next day took out her first loan!  I know she is going to be successful, she’s just that type of person, she’s always been so independent and driven, I know I’m her mom but damn , she’s wicked smatt and beauty- not just her mom on that one people will literally stop her to tell her she’s beautiful since birth!  I am so incredibly blessed to have her in my life, she makes me proud every day in some way and her sense of humor is razor sharp and keeps me on my toes!  My apartment is trashed with all the stuff we are getting for the dorm, it's really like moving into your first apartment, plus its summer so we have fans out so that takes up extra space in our already cramped spot- ha she said she’s ready for dorm life thanks to ou...
